What is Director for a Day?

Students (HBO and WO level) get the opportunity to spend a day in the role of a director at a leading company in the agricultural sector. You’ll get a behind the scenes look at companies that help feed the world and discover how seed breeding and innovation are shaping the future of agriculture and food production. A great learning experience and your ideas could make a real impact!

Who is it for?

The programme is for curious students who want to explore new opportunities and contribute to a more sustainable future. You don’t have to study agricultural sciences. Whether you study agricultural sciences, business, engineering or simply have a strong interest in the future of food production, Director for a Day is your chance to discover what the seed sector has to offer.

How does it work?

Apply via the HortiHeroes website and tell us why you want to be a Director for a Day and what you can bring to the table. If you are selected, you’ll be matched with one of the participating companies. During your day, you’ll get a tour of the company, meet with management and contribute your ideas on important strategic challenges.
