Bring Plant Research into the Classroom

Meet the Plant Rover, a mobile experimental space that brings plant research into the classroom. Students can conduct hands on experiments and discover how light, nutrients and other conditions affect plant growth. The Plant Rover is equipped with LED lighting, timers and, if needed, plant material. It is available free of charge to schools in North Holland for 8 to 10 weeks.

Experiments

Students can explore topics such as:

• The effect of light and darkness on plant growth
• The effect of different LED colours
• The effect of salt on plants
• The role of nutrients in plant growth

We have developed ready to use experiments and are happy to share them.
